Golden Arrows will look for a return to winning form in the Absa Premiership when they host Polokwane City at Princess Magogo Stadium on 29 August 2018, kick-off at 19h30.
Arrows went a second league game without a victory when they held hosts Cape Town City to a goalless stalemate on August 18 – their first draw of the 2018/19 campaign.
Abafana Bes’thende will be hoping for a better performance compared to their last home game, which saw them beaten 2-0 by Bloemfontein Celtic on August 8.
Polokwane come into the game having claimed their first win of the season by defeating Limpopo rivals Baroka FC 2-0 at home on August 18, thanks to goals from Walter Musona and Jabulani Maluleke.
Rise and Shine’s only away game so far this campaign ended in a 1-0 defeat at the hands of another Limpopo side, Black Leopards, on the first weekend of the month.
In head-to-head stats, Arrows and Polokwane have met in eight league matches since 2013/14. Abafana Bes’thende have claimed four wins compared to one for Rise and Shine, while three matches have been drawn. The Durban side’s four turns as hosts have brought them two wins and two draws for an unbeaten sequence.
Last season the teams cancelled each other out, drawing 2-2 both in Durban and Polokwane. The teams’ eight league meetings have produced no less than 30 goals.
