Rayon Sports desperate for win against Young Africans

Rayon Sports will face Young Africans in the 2018 Caf Confederation Cup Group D match at the Stade Régional Nyamirambo in Rwanda on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 15h00 cat.

The Rwandan side beat Kenyan side Gor Mahia 2-1 away in their previous Group D game over a week ago.

As a result, they are placed third on the Group D standings having collected six points from five games. They are two points behind group leaders Gor Mahia.

They will be desperate for a victory against Young Africans which will see them advance to the quarter-finals.

Rayon are unbeaten at home this year's Confederation Cup having registered two draws.

Meanwhile, Young African secured a 2-1 win over Algerian side USM Alger at home in their previous Group D game over a week ago.

As a result, they are placed fourth on the Group D standings having collected three points from five matches. They are three points behind third-placed Rayon.

They have already been eliminated from Africa's second most prestigious club competition.

Yanga have registered three defeats away in this year's Confederation Cup.

Match referee Mashood Ssali, who hails from Uganda, will officiate the game between Rayon and Yanga.

The two teams drew 0-0 in a Group D game in Tanzania last May.
