Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane is confident that his troops will get the job done at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville later this evening.
The 2016 CAF Champions League champions need to beat Horoya to book their place in the quarterfinals of this year's competition.
Sundowns currently occupy third spot in Group C after five rounds of fixtures and despite a 1-0 defeat away to Wydad Casablanca last time out, the Brazilians future in the competition is still within their own hands.
Victory will move the Pretoria-based club level on points with the Guinea outfit and into the knockout stages alongside the defending champions at the expense of Horoya on the head-to-head record.
“Can we beat Horoya? Yes,” Mosimane said in build-up to the clash. “It won’t be easy. Do I have the team to beat Horoya? Yes. We are playing in Pretoria, a goal is always there, it’s coming – at 20 minutes, it’s there.
"It might not be 20 minutes as I say, but in the end we have to win hey? When we played that Togo team [AS Togo-Port] it was a win at all costs – if we lost we were out … but I think you know what the score was at half-time [2-0]. We have to do what we have to do … it’s not easy, but we have to survive.”
The match is set to kick-off at 18h00 CAT. The reverse fixture between the two clubs in Conakry ended in a 2-2 draw.
