Al Masry will be going all out to secure victory and a place at the top of Group B when they take on Al Hilal Omdurman in their final CAF Confederation Cup group match on Wednesday at the Port Said Stadium.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 21h00 (CAT).

Al Masry currently occupy second place in Group B on nine points, a point behind leaders RS Berkane who face Uniao Desportiva do Songo in their final group game also on Wednesday.

Al Hilal Omdurman and Uniao Desportiva do Songo are on three points in Group B and sit third and fourth respectively.

Al Masry’s last Confed Cup game saw them play to a 1-1 draw against Uniao Desportiva do Songo on August 19 at the Ferroviario Stadium in Beira.

The man to find the back of the net for Al Masry in that game was none other than Mohamed Abdul-Latif Grindo.

Al Hilal Omdurman, on the other hand, suffered a 2-0 defeat to RS Berkane in their most recent Confed Cup match, also on August 19.

Al Hilal Omdurman and Al Masry’s last game against each other in Group B of the Confed Cup saw the match end 1-1 back on May 16.

In that game Al Masry claimed an early lead thanks to a goal from Esalm Eisa before a penalty kick from Geovane saw Al Hilal Omdurman level the scores.

Al Hilal Omdurman are unable to qualify for the knockout stages of the club competition and will be playing purely for pride.
