Djoliba AC held Williamsville AC to a goalless draw in a 2018 CAF Confederations Cup clash at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan on Wednesday.

As a result, WAC bow out of the continental competition with Enyimba and CARA Brazzaville advancing into the knockout stages.

The Ivorian hosts were expected to beat Djoliba and duly book their place in the quarterfinals, but failed to find the back of the net on a frustrating night for the club.

Despite only playing for pride, already eliminated Djoliba held their own and ultimately shut out their hosts.

As a result, Enyimba end top of Group C following their 1-0 win over CARA at the refurbished Enyimba Stadium in Aba. Wasiu Alalade scored the only goal of the game deep into stoppage time.

CARA join the Nigerian giants in the quarterfinals despite defeat as WAC failed to find the back of the net in Abidjan.
