Hosts Guinea will be eager to build on their strong start to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers when they welcome the Central African Republic (CAR) to the Stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 18h30 CAT.

The National Elephants beat 2015 Afcon champions Ivory Coast 3-2 in their Group H opener last year. Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita scored the winning goal for Guinea as they upset their hosts in Bouaké.

Guinea, who finished as runners-up at the 1976 tournament, are aiming to qualify for their 12th Afcon tournament having missed out on a place at the most recent showpiece in Gabon.

CAR, who will be without midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia who recently switched his allegiance to the Wild Beasts, have yet to qualify for an Afcon tournament in their history.

CAR beat Rwanda 2-1 in their opening game of the qualifiers in Bangui. The Wild Beasts are currently unbeaten in their last four encounters having beaten Uganda 1-0 back in May.

Referee Mustapha Ghorbal of Algeria will take charge of the clash in the Guinean capital.
