Angola look to hand Botswana another defeat

Angola will take on Botswana in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification Group I match on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 17h00 CAT.

The game is scheduled to take place at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda, Angola.

Palancas Negras opened their Group I campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Burkina Faso away in June 2017.

The defeat left Angola placed fourth on the group standings without a single point.

They drew 0-0 with Malawi in their last game which was the 2018 COSAFA Cup match in South Africa three months ago.

Angola head coach Srdjan Vasiljevic will be looking to guide Palancas Negras to victory against Botswana at home.

Meanwhile, Botswana suffered a 1-0 defeat to Mauritania at home in their maiden game in Group I in June 2017.

The defeat left the Zebras placed third on the group standings with without a single point.

They lost 3-0 to South Africa in their last game which was the 2018 COSAFA Cup match away three months ago.

Botswana head coach Major David Bright will be looking mastermind a victory in Angola.

Gambian referee Bakary Gassama will be in charge of the game between Angola and Botswana.
