Horoya AC head coach Victor Zvunka has underlined the importance of the club's first-leg quarterfinal clash against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League this weekend.

The Guinea club welcome the African giants to Conakry in the opening tie, before heading to Egypt a week later for the reverse fixture.

Horoya stunned 2016 CAF Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns to end as group runners-up behind defending champions Wydad Casablanca. It doesn't get any easier for Zvunka's troops, though, as they next face the eight-time champions for a place in the final four.

“We are working on preparing our side well for this challenge,” Zvunka told Guinean media outlet Objective. “We will do our best to qualify to the semi-finals.

“The first leg match is the most important. It is vital that we don’t concede any goals when we face Al Ahly.”

Kick-off at the Stade du 28 Septembre on Friday evening is scheduled for 18h00 CAT.
