CARA Brazzaville aim to shoot down soaring Green Eagles

Raja Casablanca are away to CARA Brazzaville in a first-leg 2018 CAF Confederations Cup quarterfinal clash at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Débat in Brazzaville on Sunday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

The Moroccan club head into the two-legged fixture as favourites having scored 14 goals on their way to topping Group A with 11 points from six matches. Raja hammered Aduana Stars 6-0 in their most recent CAFCC clash.

Raja, who are spearheaded by the tournament's top scorer in Mahmoud Benhalib (10 goals, 7 in the group stages), recorded a draw, win and defeat in their allotted away fixtures in the group matches.

The Green Eagles are aiming to land their second CAFCC title having tasted success in Africa's second-tier club competition back in 2003. In total, five different Moroccan club's have claimed success in the continental tournament.

CARA stand between Raja and a place in the final four with the Congolese club having sneaked through into the last eight despite a 1-0 defeat away to Enyimba in their final group game.

In total, CARA won half of their six group stage fixtures with all three wins coming on home soil.

The reverse fixture will take place in Casablanca next Sunday, 23 September.

Kenya referee Davies Omweno will take charge of the clash.
