Highlands Park will chase their first victory of the Absa Premiership season when they host Golden Arrows at Makhulong Stadium on 16 September 2018, kick-off at 15h00 CAT.

Highlands recorded a fourth straight draw when they were held 1-1 at Baroka FC on August 29. Thabo Motlafi’s goal put them on course for victory, but the Tembisa-based side conceded a last-gasp equaliser.

The Lions of the North have played just one home match so far in 2018/19, a 2-2 draw with Black Leopards on August 9.

Arrows recorded their second straight draw when they were held 1-1 at home by Polokwane City on August 29. The Durban side opened the scoring through Nkanyiso Mngwengwe, but conceded late in the first half to Rodney Ramagalela.

Abafana Bes’thende have taken four points from two away matches so far this season: a 2-0 win at Maritzburg United and goalless draw at Cape Town City.

In head-to-head stats, Highlands and Arrows have met in just two top flight league matches. Both encounters took place in the 2016/17 season, with Abafana Bes’thende claiming a league ‘double’ thanks to 1-0 (away) and 2-1 (home) wins.

Highlands’ line-up from their 1-1 draw with Baroka on August 29: Kapini, Sibande, Motsepe, Mokoena, Haoseb, Mvala, Mbatha, Ramoraka, Rae, Nyembe (Bunting 90’), Ngebo (Motlafi 65’).

Arrows’ line-up from their 1-1 draw with Polokwane on August 29: Gumede, Sibisi, Mzava, Mngwengwe, Lunga, Sibiya (Jooste 46’), Molefe (Phiti 46’), Venter, Conco (Joao Moreira 78’), Mutizwa, Lamola.
