Mahmoud Wadi scored the only goal of the game as Al Masry claimed a 1-0 win over USM Alger in a first-leg 2018 CAF Confederations Cup quarterfinal clash at the Al-Masry Club Stadium in Port Said on Sunday evening.
The Palestinian forward provided a moment of magic in the 54th minute to lead the hosts to victory, as they set their sights on booking their place in final four at the expense of the 'Reds and Blacks'.
USMA will host the reverse fixture in Sétif, Algeria next Sunday, the 23rd of September.
Wadi showed great determination to get to a cross into the area, but having seen his initial effort well blocked the chance for a goal looked to have passed.
But, the forward provided those in attendance with something to cherish as he back-heeled the ball past the USMA goalkeeper - a superb piece of skill to lead Al-Masry to victory.
