Morsy makes good following red-card reversal

Egypt international Sam Morsy found the back of the net as Wigan Athletic recorded a 2-1 win over Hull City in the English Championship on Tuesday evening.

The Wigan captain was a doubt for the clash after he was sent off n the club's 2-0 defeat to Brentford this past weekend, but the red card was reversed on appeal making him eligible for last night's game.

In all it was a good night for African players in the Championship with both Jonathan Kodjia and Ahmed Elmohamady registering assists for Aston Villa in a 2-0 win over Rotherham.

Elmohamady teed up DR Congo international Yannick Bolasie for the winger's first goal at Villa following his move on-loan from Everton.

Furthermore, there was also notable a goal for Senegal international Famara Diedhiou who found the back of the net for Bristol City in a 4-2 defeat away to West Brom.
