Al Ahly forward Salah Mohsen is confident that the Egyptian giants will lift a ninth Caf Champions League title in November.
The Red Devils booked a semifinal showdown against Algerian club ES Sétif with a 4-0 aggregate win over Horoya AC. Following a goalless draw in Conakry, Al Ahly thumped their Guinean opponents 4-0 in the reverse fixture.
Talking to the media in the aftermath of the club's emphatic win in Cairo, Mohsen promised the Al Ahly faithful a ninth CafCL crown.
“The away game against Horoya was tough and we wasted a lot of chances but we managed to score four goals in the second leg,” Mohsen said.
“Our goal is to win the CAF Champions League title and we are going to do so.
“I thank the Al Ahly fans for their support and we promise them that we will win the title,” he concluded.
Al Ahly last won Africa's premier cup competition five years ago with a 3-1 aggregate win over Orlando Pirates.
