Kaizer Chiefs head coach Giovanni Solinas has taken his admiration of star attacker Khama Billiat to a whole new level.

The Italian has reserved special praise for the Zimbabwe international throughout the 2018-19 season, with Billiat having made an excellent start to life at Naturena after joining the club from rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

Billiat, 28, has directly contributed to nine goals in 11 games across all competitions this season.

This has prompted Solinas to compare the former Ajax Cape Town attacker to Barcelona's Lionel Messi while also singling out Billiat as the league's best player.

Speaking to his side's official website, Solinas said: "Barcelona have ten players and Messi. Kaizer Chiefs have ten players and Billiat. Khama is the best player in the PSL and he's one of those rare players who makes the difference."
