Al Masry head coach Hossam Hassan is keen to guide his side to the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup final.
The Egyptian Premier League club are busy preparing for their match with DR Congolese giants AS Vita in the tournament’s semi-finals.
Al Masry eliminated Algerian side USM Alger after defeating them 2-0 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
As a result, the Port-Said club reached their first ever semi-finals in a second-tier continental club competition.
“It was our first target to reach the group stage. But once we were there we started thinking of going all the way long," Hassan told CAFOnline.com.
“The star is the team itself. We have many young players in the team, and they keep coming and going. But whoever plays does his best for the team itself, and that’s how we are here,” he concluded.
The first-leg encounter will be played at the Al Masry Club Stadium in Egypt on Wednesday.
The winner on aggregate will take on either Nigerian side Enyimba or Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca in the final.
