Namibia head coach Ricardo Mannetti has disclosed that they will camp in South Africa before they face Mozambique.

The Brave Warriors are set to take on Mozambique in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Maputo on the 13th of October 2018.

Before facing the Black Mambas, Namibia will take on Botswana in an international friendly match on Sunday, September 30.

“This is the only friendly before we face Mozambique. We however, plan on setting camp in South Africa hereafter because it’s much easier to get most of the players to either Johannesburg or Pretoria in preparations for our away match,” Mannetti said on the Namibian Football Association (NFA) website.

Mannetti admitted that there has previously been complaints about the team not having match fit players, so in order to qualify, he believes they have to put fitness first, especially if they want to narrow the gap between the local players and foreign-based players who get to play every other day.

Namibia squad for Botswana clash: Ratanda Mbazuvara, Vipua Tjimune, Larry Horaeb, Vitapi Ngaruka, Emilio Martin, Charles Hambira, Lubeni Haukongo, Aprocius Petrus, Ronald Ketjijere, Marcel Papama, Hiha Katjivena, Petrus Shitembi, Absalom Iimbondi, Immanuel Heita, Muna Katupose, Sadney Urikhob, Jandjamuje Maharero and Dynamo Fredericks.
