Nigeria’s Enyimba will look to make the most of their home ground advantage when they host Morocco’s Raja Casablanca in a first leg, CAF Confederation Cup semi-final at the Enyimba International Stadium on Wednesday.

Enyimba progressed into the semi-finals of the CAF competition with an impressive 5-1 aggregate win over Rayon Sports a two-leg quarterfinal.

The Nigerian side was extremely impressive at home in the second leg of the quarter-final which saw them thump Rayon Sport 5-1 at the Enyimba International Stadium, following a goalless draw in the first leg in Rwanda.

Enyimba’s goals in that second-leg quarter-final were scored by Stanley Sopuruchi Dimgba, Ikouwem Udo Utin, Sunday Adetunji, Joseph Osadiaye and Isiaka Oladuntoye.

The Nigerian side has also been in fine form in their domestic league having gone three games without a loss, including an impressive 5-0 win over J’Atete in their most recent Aiteo Cup match.

Raja Casablanca, on the other hand, progessed into the semi-finals of the CAF competition following a 3-1 aggregate win over DRC’s Cara Brazzaville in the quarter-finals.

The Moroccan side won the first-leg quarter-final 2-1 away from home be securing their place in the semi-finals with a 1-0 win in the second leg at home.

Raja Casablanca are also in fine form and are unbeaten in their last five matches, both in continental competitions and in their local league.

The last time these two sides locked horns was back in 2008 in the CAF Champions League. In those two matches in 2008 the first saw Enyimba win 2-0 at home before playing to a goalless draw in Morocco.
