Baroka FC will look to get back on track in the Absa Premiership when they host Super United at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 7 October 2018, kick-off at 15h30.
Baroka have gone seven league matches without a win after they were beaten 1-0 away to provincial rivals Black Leopards on October 3. The Limpopo side’s last three-pointer came all the way back in early August.
Bakgaga have picked up six points from a possible 15 at home this season. Their last result as hosts was a goalless draw with Free State Stars in late September.
SuperSport come into the game having played out a 1-1 draw away to Polokwane City on October 2. The Tshwane side scored both goals in the game, with Aubrey Modiba putting them ahead before an ‘OG’ from Siyabonga Nhlapo pegged them back.
Matsatsantsa have claimed four points from as many away matches this season. Aside from their draw with Rise and Shine, their games on the road have produced a win over Bidvest Wits and losses to cape Town City and Orlando Pirates.
In head-to-head stats, Baroka and SuperSport have met in four league matches since the 2016/17 season. Bakgaga have claimed two wins compared to one for Matsatsantsa, while one game was drawn. The Limpopo side boasts an unbeaten home record in the rivalry, with one win and one draw from two matches as hosts.
Last season Baroka claimed a 3-1 home win in the first half of the campaign, while the return game on the final day of the 2017/18 Absa Premiership saw SuperSport triumph 1-0 thanks to a penalty from Aubrey Modiba.
