Cameroon’s Gaetan Bong saw his Brighton side move further away from the relegation zone in the English Premier League after beating West Ham 1-0 on Friday night.
The win, which was secured by Glenn Murray’s 25th minute goal, was only Brighton’s second of the league season and sees them up to 12th place on the table.
The game itself saw two other Africans in action with Mali’s Yves Bissouma coming off the bench for Brighton while DRC’s Arthur Masuaku played the entire 90 minutes for West Ham.
Nigerian Leon Balogun was an unused substitute for Brighton.
