It was a night for Africans to shine in the French Ligue 1 with both Tunisia’s Bassem Srarfi and Togo’s Mathieu Dossevi finding the back of the net as Toulouse and Nice drew 1-1 on Friday night.
In a match scattered with African superstars (eight to be exact) it was Srarfi and Dossevi who impressed most.
Srarfi opened the scoring for Nice shortly before the half hour mark with a cool finish, but Dossevi levelled matters in the 54th minute with a deadly volley to see them two teams share the spoils.
Ivorian Max Gradel captained Toulouse on the night who had fellow countryman Ibrahim Sangare and DRC’s Firmnin Mubele Ndombe in the starting line-up while Guinean Issiaga Sylla came off the bench.
On the side of Nice, Algerian Youcef Attal and Senegal’s Coly Racine were in the starting line-up.
