Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that the Super Eagles will approach their upcoming games against Libya in similar fashion to the back-to-back fixtures against Cameroon last year.

The Super Eagles play host to the Mediterranean Knights in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday before the reverse fixture in Algeria on Monday, as they aim to leapfrog their opponents in Group E.

Nigeria beat the Indomitable Lions 4-0 before holding the African champions to a 1-1 draw in Yaoundé within the space of four days, on their way to booking their place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

"We have to prepare for the two matches like we did against Cameroon last year," Rohr is quoted as saying by NFF's official Twitter page.

"Focus is on Libya's strong team who had a draw in South Africa and are the leaders in our group.

"Two games in four days means to be very fit physically and technically."

Kick-off in Uyo at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium on Saturday is set for 16h00 local time.
