Cape Verde look to extend good run against Tanzania

Cape Verde will play host to Tanzania in the 2019 CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualification Group L game.

The encounter will be played at the Estádio Nacional de Cabo Verde in Praia on Friday, October 12.

Kick-off is at 19h00 CAT.

The Blue Sharks were held to a 1-1 draw by Lesotho away in their previous 2019 AFCON qualifier last month.

The draw extended Cape Verde's unbeaten run to three games in all competitions having recorded two wins and one draw.

The West African side will be looking to extend their unbeaten run against a stubborn Tanzania side.

Meanwhile, Tanzania held Uganda to a 0-0 draw away in their previous 2019 AFCON qualifier last month.

As a result, the Taifa Stars are undefeated in their last two games in all competitions.

The East African side will be looking to secure a much-needed win against an in-form Cape Verde side.
