Mozambique will be hoping to move to the summit of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group when they host Namibia at the Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo on Saturday.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 17h00 (CAT).

Mozambique have four points in Group K after winning their opening match 1-0 against Zambia before playing to a 2-2 draw against Guinea-Bissau.

Currently the top Group K alongside Guinea-Bissau and Zambia who also have four points, but have played a game more, with Zambia beating Guinea-Bissau 2-1 this past Wednesday.

Mozambique have been in fine form on the international stage and are unbeaten in their last three matches. Their most recent match, however, was a 2-2 draw against Guinea-Bissau in September 2018.

Namibia, on the other hand, will be looking to pick-up their first win in qualifying after losing their opening game 1-0 to Guinea-Bissau before playing to a 1-1 draw against Zambia which sees them at the bottom of Group K.

Namibia’s international form, though, has not been great with only one win in their last six outings, suffering three losses and two draws.

The two countries have met on eight previous occasions with the most recent outing back in June 2016 which saw Namibia win 3-0.
