Despite being reduced to ten men, Tunisia maintained their 100 percent win record in Group J of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign after beating Niger 1-0 at the Stade Olympique de Radès on Saturday.
Tunisia started really well and controlled the flow of play from the first whistle.
The home side were rewarded for their efforts with the game's only goal in the 17th minute thanks to a strike from Yassine Meriah, 1-0.
Tunisia controlled the remainder of the half, but were unable to add to their tally before the break.
The second half saw Niger trying to mount a bit of a comeback, and while chances on goal were few and far between the game was enticing as both teams did not look to give an inch.
In the end the match got a little dirty which resulted in Tunisia's Ghailene Chaalali being shown a red card in the 86th minute.
Despite being a man down the home side held on for the win which sees them topping Group J with nine points while NigerLesotho are bottom with one point.
The two countries will lock horns again next week Tuesday in another 2019 Afcon qualifier.
