Burkina Faso were held to a 0-0 draw by Botswana in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification Group I match on Tuesday.
The game was played at the Francistown Sports Complex in the second city of Botswana, Francistown.
The Zebras were seeking redemption against Stallions, who had defeated them 3-0 in a match which was played in Ouagadougou over the weekend.
The hosts were solid at the back in the opening stages of the encounter with South Africa-based striker Onkabetse Makgantai leading their attack.
The Stallions suffered a blow when Banou Diawara went down injured and he was replaced by Bayala Barros.
Botswana were able to contain Burkina Faso, who had dominated possession in the first-half.
The score was 0-0 at the interval between Botswana and Burkina Faso.
The visitors continued their dominance after the restart with France-based striker Bertrand Traore working hard upfront.
Traore forced Botswana goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe into two good saves as the Stallions looked to break the deadlock.
The Zebras defence which was led Simisani Mathumo then stood firm in the closing stages of the encounter.
Ultimately, the match ended in a 0-0 draw with Botswana and Burkina Faso sharing the spoils.
The draw saw the Zebras and Stallions remain fourth, and second respectively on the group standings.
