Kaizer Chiefs head coach Giovanni Solinas has revealed that Khama Billiat is a doubt for their Telkom Knockout clash against Black Leopards this Sunday.

The Zimbabwe International picked up a reported back injury while on international duty this week. Billiat featured in both home and away fixtures against Democratic Republic of Congo as the Warriors edged closer to booking their spot at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

His involvement, though, has come at a slight cost for his club side and Solinas will be sweating on Billiat's availability.

“We have a small problem with Khama. So tomorrow [on Friday]‚ with the proper examination‚ we will make a decision‚” Solinas said.

“I think there is no serious problem. But at the moment I don’t know if Khama can play or not.”

Former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker, Billiat, has directly contributed to nine goals in 13 games this season and has repeatedly been called the best player in the league by Solinas.

Furthermore, Leonardo Castro and new signing Andriamirado 'Dax' Andrianarimanana will both miss the clash as they continue their recovery from injury while Lebogang Manyama has been ruled out of action for six weeks with a fractured elbow.

The former Cape Town City captain was involved in a car accident earlier this week.
