Kaizer Chiefs are confident that both Leonardo Castro and Khama Billiat will feature in the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium this weekend.
The Amakhosi have been rocked by several injuries in build-up to the clash, with Khama Billiat and Leonardo Castro an injury doubt while Lebogang Manyama has been ruled out for several weeks following a car accident.
Castro is currently nursing an ankle injury, but head coach Giovanni Solinas revealed that he was set to return to full training on Monday in preparation for their clash against the Buccaneers while Billiat is set to undergo a late fitness test.
“We have a few players out due to injuries. But that also means that there will be an opportunity for other players to come in and do well,” Solinas told the club's official website.
“Leo will start full training on Monday and will hopefully be ready for the next match."
The Soweto giants currently occupy second and third spot on the Absa Premiership log respectively after 10 rounds of fixtures. Victory for Chiefs on Saturday will move them above the Buccaneers.
