Al Masry have confirmed that former Smouha head coach Mimi Abdel-Razek has been appointed as the new head coach of the Port Said based club.
Abdel-Razek's appointment follows Hossam Hassan's resignation and subsequent appointment as head coach of Pyramids FC.
Hassan guided Al Masry to the semifinals of the 2018 Caf Confederations Cup this month. Following a goalless draw on home soil, the Egyptian club suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat away to AS Vita in Kinshasa as their hopes of a maiden final appearance came to an end.
Abdel-Razek has been pictured taking Al Masry's training ahead of their clash against Ismaily this weekend.
He guided Smouha in 15 games last season, helping them to a fifth place finish in the league as well as reaching the Egypt Cup final where they lost to Zamalek.
Al Masry currently occupy 14th spot on the log standings having conjured two wins from seven matches this season.
