Polokwane City duo scoop Absa Premiership accolade

Jozef Vukušič and Jabulani Maluleke have been named as the Absa Premiership coach and player of the month for October respectively.

Rise and Shine conjured a seven game unbeaten run in the league before last night's 2-1 defeat at home to Orlando Pirates in Polokwane.

The Limpopo club registered wins over Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United last month, while also holding SuperSport United to a 1-1 draw as they steadily climbed their way out of danger and into the top five on the log standings.

Maluleke has played every minute for Polokwane City this season and found the back of the net against Baroka FC and Bidvest Wits.

At 36, Maluleke stills forms an integral part of the team and Vukušič will be counting on him to lead the club back to winning ways in their clash against AmaZulu this coming weekend.
