Nigeria coach Thomas Dennerby has named his final 21-person squad for the upcoming 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations.

The Super Falcons are the reigning champions and looking to defend their crown, but they must first get through a tough Group B which also features South Africa, Kenya and Zambia.

Nigeria have notably excluded Ogonna Chukwudi, while 18-year-old Rasheedat Ajibade will make her tournament debut alongside Kazakhstan-based Chinwendu Ihezuo.

The tournament will be held in Ghana, with the host team placed in Group A alongside Algeria, Mali and Cameroon.

The actions begins on Saturday in Accra with two Group A matches, while Nigeria will open the defence of their title on Sunday against SA in the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The tournament doubles as the qualifiers for the 2019 Women’s World Cup, with the top three securing qualification for the finals in France.
