Egypt head coach Javier Aguirre has advised Ramadan Sobhi to search for a new club in an attempt to get more playing time.

The 21-year-old failed to make the Pharaohs senior team squad for this past weekend's 3-2 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying win over Tunisia, and instead featured for the country's U23 side.

"Shawky Gharib wanted Ramadan to join the Olympic national team in the last two camps to train and play," Aguirre is quoted as saying by KingFut.com.

"In the third camp, I agreed because he was not in my plans.

"My advice to Ramadan Sobhi is to try to find a club that gives him the chance to play continuously."

Sobhi joined English Premier League club Huddersfield Town from Stoke City ahead of the 2018-19 season, but injury and a struggle for form has limited his playing time.

In total, the Egyptian winger who has been linked with a move to Al Ahly in January, has only featured a mere 33 minutes across all competitions this season.
