Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojevic is hoping that attacking duo Augustine Mulenga and Justin Shonga will put their Africa Cup of Nations disappointment behind them by firing the club into the Telkom Knockout final.
Zambia lost 1-0 away to Mozambique last weekend with defeat ending their hopes of reaching the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Both Mulenga and Shonga played an integral role in leading the Buccaneers to a 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs last month, and Micho will be counting on the Zambian pair to down the Amakhosi once more as Pirates aim to end their trophy drought.
The Soweto giants battle in a 2018 TKO semifinal clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday afternoon.
“You know, one big country like Zambia for a second consecutive time does not go to Africa Cup of Nations, [it] is a huge setback," Micho is quoted as saying by KickOff.com.
"We have received them and for them it’s like the end of the world, but fully aware that life is still ahead of them and they can still serve the nation in the best possible way in 2021.
“I have strong belief that when the disappointment comes of losing something, if you have too much time without action then it’s too much in your head and it’s killing you.
"But when the match comes the best way to wash out the pain is by doing everything you are supposed to do on the pitch,” he concluded.
