Bloemfontein Celtic will chase a third straight win in the Absa Premiership when they host SuperSport United at Dr Molemela Stadium on 28 November 2018, kick-off at 19h30.

Celtic racked up a second successive victory in the league when they came from a goal down to defeat Bidvest Wits 2-1 away from home on November 10, with two late strikes from Tshegofatso Mabaso.

Phunya Sele Sele have claimed 10 points from five home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 1-0 win over Baroka FC in late October.

SuperSport picked up their first win since late September when they defeated Free State Stars 1-0 away from home on November 10. James Keene scored the only goal of the game, and his third strike from United’s last five league matches.

Matsatsantsa have claimed eight points from six away matches this season. Aside from their win over Stars, they have also beaten Bidvest Wits on the road this season.

In head-to-head stats, Celtic and SuperSport have met in 49 league matches since 1990. Matsatsantsa have claimed 12 wins compared to 11 for Phunya Sele Sele, while no less than 26 games have been draw. The Tshwane team has recorded eight wins and suffered five defeats in 24 matches as hosts in the rivalry.

Last season SuperSport took four points off Celtic in the teams’ league meetings, drawing 1-1 in Bloemfontein before claiming a 4-2 home win in the return game. The last result broke a run of five successive draws between the teams.
