Liverpool have been handed a major boost ahead of their Uefa Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain with news that Sadio Mane is fit to play.
The Senegal international, who recently signed a new long-term deal that will keep him contracted to the club until 2023, was struck down with illness ahead of the Reds' crucial showdown in Paris on Wednesday evening.
Mane was assessed by the Liverpool medical staff on Tuesday before the team jetted out to France, and Jurgen Klopp will be relieved that the 26-year-old has been passed fit to play.
Liverpool occupy second spot in Group C, a point above the French champions heading into the crucial clash at the Parc des Princes.
Victory for the Merseyside club will guarantee them qualification into the knockout stages ahead of the final round of group stage fixtures. Liverpool will welcome Napoli to Anfield on December 11.
Mane has scored seven goals in 17 appearances for Liverpool this season.
