Nigeria international Leon Balogun made the perfect impact for Brighton & Hove Albion in their 3-1 win over Crystal Palace in the English Premier League last night.
The 30-year-old found the back with his first touch, a mere 25 seconds after coming off the bench, as the 10-man Seagulls recorded a memorable win at the Amex.
Balogun replaced Pascal Gross in the first half following Shane Duffy's red card to sure up the home side's defence. But his first involvement would not be a clearance, but rather a goal - his first for the club.
The former Mainz defender has seen game time hard to come by since his move to the club ahead of the 2018-19 season, but will be hopeful that the performance will spark a run of appearances in the starting eleven.
Balogun's goal was the second fastest from a substitute this season while his strike also forms part of a unique record.
Florin Andone also found the back of the net off the bench in the first-half. It was the first time that two substitutes had scored in the first half of an English Premier League game.
