Guinea star helps drive Liverpool forward, according to Henderson.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has singled out Naby Keita for special praise following their come-from-behind midweek win at Burnley in the Premier League.
Guinea international Keita stood out for the Reds in his first league start since September, having overcome a hamstring problem which stalled his early progress at Anfield.
And skipper Henderson, who played alongside the 23-year-old in midfield at Turf Moor, was impressed with what he saw.
“He started the season brilliantly and obviously then getting an injury set him back a little bit,” Henderson said. “But you can see how good a player he is.
“That shot with the left foot and the save from Hart was fantastic. In his overall play he is comfortable on the ball and he helps build up play from the back.
“He drives the ball forward, which is big for us. I thought he was outstanding, along with everybody else really.”
Jurgen Klopp's side fell behind nine minutes into the second half through a strike from Burnley's Jack Cork.
But James Milner levelled just after the hour mark before Roberto Firmino made an instant impact from the bench to fire Liverpool in front.
Keita will hope to feature for Liverpool when they play away to Bournemouth in the opening match of the weekend’s Premier League action. Kick-off at the Vitality Stadium is at 14h30 CAT.
