Kotoko head to Nairobi for first round, first-leg clash this weekend.
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has talked up his side’s chances of a positive result away to Kariobangi Sharks this coming weekend.
The Ghanaian giants will face the Kenyan side in a CAF Confederation Cup first round, first-leg match at the Moi International Stadium in Nairobi on Friday, December 14.
Annan spoke to the Ghanaian media after his side beat Black Meteors 3-0 in a friendly encounter at Accra Sports Stadium.
“We are playing very well. The new players are jelling very well with the old players. We are in good shape,” the goalkeeper said, as quoted by Football Ghana.
"We are not going to Kenya to settle for a draw. We are going there to win so that the second leg will be a mere formality. We have a strong squad to achieve that.”
Kotoko will depart Ghana for Kenya on Wednesday to prepare for the encounter against their opponents on Friday.
It will be the Porcupine Warriors’ first CAF Confederation Cup outing in 2018/19 after their preliminary round tie against Eding Sport of Cameroon was a walkover.
The return match against Kariobangi Sharks is scheduled to be played on December 21.
