Alain Giresse has been appointed as the new head coach of Tunisia, the club's Football Federation announced on Thursday.
The 66-year-old will officially take up his post at the start of next month, he has signed a contract until 2020.
Giresse boasts a lot of African experience having previously coached Gabon, Senegal and Mali who he managed on two separate occasions, most notable guiding the Eagles to a third place finish at the 2012 AFCON.
The Frenchman takes over the reins from Faouzi Benzarti who parted company with the Tunisian Federations shortly after helping the North African's to 2019 AFCON qualification.
Tunisia face eSwatini in their final qualifier in March before next year's tournament at a yet to be decided venue. Cameroon were stripped of the hosting rights after the Confederations of African Football (CAF) deemed them unfit to host the tournament.
