The Botswana Premier League (BPL) has announced partnerships with three different organizations.
The league will get a cash injection of P30, 775, 000 (around $2,86 million) in sponsorship from Hollard Insurance, First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) and Choppies.
Hollard are expected to provide insurance cover worth P30 million (around $2,8 million) which will take care of disability, non medicare medical expenses and unexpected medical costs for all BPL players.
The league is expected to receive P100 000 (around $9,300) from FNBB of procurement of substitution board effective second round of the current 2018/19 season.
While grocery and general merchandise retailer Choppies will sponsor the league with P 675, 000 (around $62,700).
The Botswana Football Association (BFA) released the following information:
1. Hollard Botswana – P30 Million covers disability and Non-Medicare Medical Expenses for players.
2. FNBB – sponsors substitution boards worth P100 000.00 with effect from the 2nd round of 2018/2019
3. Choppies- Kits for ball boys worth P675 000. 00 for the entire season.
