Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis feels that the Belgian giants should have defeated KV Kortrijk in their most Belgian Pro League match.
Kortrijk recently held the defending champions to a 0-0 draw at the Guldensporenstadion last weekend.
Halfway through the second half, Dennis' goal finally seemed to disband the Kortrijk defense, but it was denied after a (Video Assistant Referee) VAR intervention.
“I feel really bad as we really should have won this game. We were by far the better team, but were unable to translate that into the final result," Dennis said.
"That's football, and it 's tough, but we have to move on. I really think it shouldn't have been cancelled out," the 21-year-old striker added.
"I'm not touching the man covering me, so I don't understand. I don't think one of my team mates pushed someone. That should have been the winning goal.”
The draw saw Brugge remain second on the league standings - seven points behind the leaders Genk.
Dennis has hit the back of the net three times in 10 league matches this season.
