According to reports, Senegal international Moussa Wague could make his long-awaited debut for Barcelona's first team this month.
The 20-year-old caught the Spanish giants' eye at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia where he became the first African teenager to score at the world showpiece. Wague found the back of the net for the Lions of Teranga in a 2-2 draw against Japan.
Mundo Deportivo report that Wague is close to making his first appearance for the Catalan club's senior side, having featured for Barcelona B over the past few months.
The right-back, who joined Barcelona from Belgium club KAS Eupen, has accumulated eight appearances in Spain's second division since making his debut in November.
He could now be set to make his first team debut when Barcelona take on Getafe in the Spanish LaLiga this weekend.
Barcelona sit top of the standings at the midway point of the season, three points clear of second placed Atletico Madrid.
