The Comoros Football Association have announced that Amir Abdou has extended his contract until June this year, with the option of a further two years.
Abdou, who has been in charge of Les Coelacantes since January 2014, saw his last contract expire five weeks ago. He has since penned a new contract team manger Ben Amir Saadi confirmed in a press conference (per BBC Sport).
"The contract has been renewed for 6 months with the same conditions as before," said Saadi.
"The contract will be automatically extended by 24 months under conditions set out in the contract."
Comoros currently occupy third spot in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Group B with one round of fixtures remaining.
The Islanders face Cameroon in their final group game in March and will book their place at a first showpiece with victory away to the defending AFCON champions, who have been stripped of hosting the upcoming tournament.
Comoros held the same opponents to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture last September, having also held group winners Morocco to a 2-2 stalemate on home soil.
