Algerian Yassine Benzia could see his loan spell at Fenerbahce cut short if the Turkish Super Lig giants can secure the services of Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.
The latter player has been a periphery figure for the Reds this season, playing just 303 minutes of action across all competitions since the start of the campaign.
Fotomac claims that Fenerbahce would like to take Lallana on loan until the end of the season, offering him the chance to enjoy regular football.
The Englishman is currently far down the midfielder pecking order at Anfield, with the arrivals of Fabinho and Naby Keita last year effectively making him redundant in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
The Daily Mirror add that a deal to another Premier League club hasn’t been ruled out by Lallana and neither has the Fenerbahce proposal.
Their interest in Lallana has reportedly led the Turkish club to ask Lille if they can terminate the loan of Yassine Benzia, who is currently there until the end of the campaign with an option to buy.
The Algerian only has one assist and no goals to his name for Fenerbahce and the Turkish side see Lallana as a better option.
Should Lallana replace Benzia at Fenerbahce, he will find himself embroiled in a relegation battle, as the club (which finished as runners-up to Galatasaray last term) has claimed just 16 points from their first 17 matches.
