Black Leopards will chase a hat-trick of wins in the Absa Premiership when they host SuperSport United at Thohoyandou Stadium on 12 January 2019, kick-off at 15h30.

Leopards claimed their second straight league victory when they defeated Limpopo rivals Baroka FC 2-1 away on January 6, thanks to goals from Mwape Musonda and Tswarelo Bereng.

Lidoda Duvha have claimed 10 points from seven home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 3-1 win over AmaZulu in mid-December.

SuperSport suffered their fifth league loss this season (and a third from their last five matches) when they were beaten 1-0 at home by Cape Town City on January 5.

Matsatsantsa have claimed 10 points from nine away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 1-1 draw at Highlands Park just before the festive-season break last month.

In head-to-head stats, SuperSport and Leopards have met in 15 league matches since 2001/02. Matsatsantsa have claimed eight wins compared to three for Lidoda Duvha, while four games have been drawn. The Limpopo side has claimed two wins from their seven home matches in the rivalry, suffering three defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, SuperSport claimed a 4-0 home win thanks to goals from James Keene (two), Aubrey Modiba and Evans Rusike. The teams’ last six league meetings have produced 23 goals.
