SuperSport United ended their Absa Premiership losing streak with a 2-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Sunday afternoon.

The result moves Matsatsantsa up to seventh place one the log standings, a point and place above Siwelele.

SuperSport hit the front in the 14th minute through Bradley Grobler who returned to the starting eleven for the first time since September, having successfully recovered from a long term injury.

The forward looked a man bang in form, pouncing on the loose ball inside the area after Siwelele failed to clear Siyabonga Nhlapo's cross, before firing home past Patrick Tignyemb.

SuperSport doubled their lead in the 57th minute through Teboho Mokoena who rifled home an unstoppable shot to leave the visiting shot-stopper with no chance.

Neo Maema and Tshegofatso Mabasa teamed up six minutes later to make for a nervy finish with the latter prodding home for his sixth goal of the campaign to halve the deficit.

SuperSport, though, were able to hold on to claim all three points.
