Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele could be in line to make a surprise return to Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the season.
The former Brazilians skipper parted company with the reining Absa Premiership champions in favour of a switch to Kaizer Chiefs in July 2016, having failed to agree terms on a new deal with the Chloorkop club.
The 28-year-old has now entered the last six months of his contract at the Amakhosi, opening the window for rival clubs to sign the fullback on a pre-contract.
According to the latest Soccer Laduma (issue 1107), the Brazilians are interested in brining Mphahlele back to the club in what will be a surprising turn of events.
Mphahlele, who is close to returning to action after recovering from a knee injury, has scored three goals in 19 games for Chiefs across all competitions this season.
The Bafana Bafana international last played for Chiefs at the start of December.
