It was an impressive display from Achraf Hakimi’s Dortmund who thumped Hannover a 5-1 on Saturday.
Hakimi opened the scoring in the 24th minute before providing the assist for the second goal on the hour mark which was scored by Marco Reus.
Mario Gotze made it 3-0 in the 62nd minute before Raphael Guerreiro scored Dortmund’s fourth five minutes later.
Hannover found a consolation goal in the 86th minute courtesy of a strike from Marvin Bakalorz, but their joy was short-lived with Dortmund having the last word thanks to a goal by Axel Witsel in the 90th minute, 5-1.
The win sees Dortmund on 48 points form 19 matches at the top of the table followed by Borussia Monchengladbach nine points back.
