Black Leopards head coach Dylan Kerr has challenged in-form Mwape Musonda to build on his scoring form.
The Zambia international, who finished last season as the National First Division (NFD) golden boot winner, currently leads the scoring charts in the Absa Premiership this season with eight goals.
Musonda found the back of the net once more in Lidoda Duvha's penalty shoot-out win over Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup this past weekend. The forward's first-half strike was his eighth goal in his last eight appearances across all competitions.
Former Gor Mahia head coach, Kerr, doesn't want the 27-year-old to rest on his laurels as Leopards aim to continue their climb up the log standings.
"Musonda has not done anything yet, he's still got 13 games to go," Kerr told KickOff.com.
"You know I would still want him to play these 13 games and score a goal per game, if not two. That should be his challenge, that should be his motivation.
"You know we are not going to start bragging. We don't want him to start getting carried away thinking he has done everything. You know the PSL is a very crazy league where things can quickly go against you. The perfomances can go very well then they go badly.
"If players get carried away, football, it will bite you. Or it will kick you where you don't want to be kicked, and that way it will spoil everything," he concluded.
