Mamelodi Sundowns have suffered another injury blow in build-up to their Absa Premiership clash at home to AmaZulu on Tuesday evening.
The Brazilians have been struck by several injury blows in recent weeks with Phakamani Mahlambi joining a long list of casualties. The forward picked up a foot injury after scoring a superb goal in the club's Nedbank Cup defeat away to Chippa United this past weekend.
Mahlambi joins Andile Jali, Wayne Arendse and Sibusiso Vilakazi among others on an extensive injury list.
The club has also confirmed that Thapelo Morena is a doubt for tonight's clash in Tshwane as he is currently nursing a bout of flu.
Sundowns welcome AmaZulu to Loftus Stadium knowing that victory by a three-goal margin will send them top of the log standings.
The defending Absa Premiership champions will then shift focus back to the Caf Champions League. Sundowns host ASEC Mimosas in a group stage fixture this coming Friday.
