Golden Arrows will be looking to build on their solid form in the Absa Premiership when they host Highlands Park at Princess Magogo Stadium on 2 February 2019, kick-off at 15h30.

Arrows are unbeaten in their last three league matches, with their latest result a 1-1 draw away to Black Leopards on January 19. Lerato Lamola’s opener was cancelled out by a late equaliser from Mwape Musonda.

Abafana Bes’thende have claimed 11 points from eight home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 2-0 win over KwaZulu-Natal rivals Maritzburg United in early January.

Highlands saw their winless run in the league extended to four matches when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Mamelodi Sundowns on January 22. The Tembisa-based side has won just once in their last six Premiership outings.

The Lions of the North have claimed nine points from as many away matches this season, with their latest result on the road a goalless draw at AmaZulu in mid-January.

In head-to-head stats, Arrows and Highlands Park have met in three previous top-flight matches since 2016/17. Abafana Bes’thende won both home and away in the 16/17 season, while the teams’ meeting earlier this season, at Makhulong Stadium in September 2018, saw the Lions of the North win 2-1 thanks to a brace from Mothobi Mvala.

Arrows’ line-up from their 1-1 draw with Leopards on January 19: Gumede, Sibisi, Mzava, Mathiane, Lunga, Sibiya (Bilankulu 81’), Parusnath (Conco 46’), Phiri, Venter, Mutizwa, Lamola.

Highlands’ line-up from their 2-1 loss to Sundowns on January 22: Kapini, Fransman (Haoseb 46'), Ramoraka, Mokoena, Msimango, Rae, Mbatha, Mahlangu, Shalulile (Mogaila 83'), Sekola (Ndoro 60'), Mvala.
